Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. My friends on the board will groan. I don't know many people who like this particular book, and I don't expect anyone to reply to this but maybe I can entertain myself. I like it because it is angsty depressing 19th Century French literature. Ya gotta love it!
And because it is such a foreign topic to most, I can say this without being hit; Javert rules!!! There, I said it.

Anywho, I haven't gotten round to reading the book(It looked big and scary!)...but I've heard you bang on about it in the past. ^___^;; And borrowed that video off you.

Yup, here I am! ^^ I only joined, like, two days ago so I'm a total newbie. Anyway, do not bang on the sideburns, they rock!
Don't worry, I happen to own the 1200 page version and the abridged 200 page one so you could just skim through that. The smaller one is still good, it just cuts out all the apparant irrelevant bits, like a whole chapter about some bishop guy who's only important for a few pages!
Err, the guy who may or may not be the 'decent' one could be Enjolras with the girly blonde hair. Everyone seems to like him for some reason ... maybe because he just is generally cool!

See, something good can come out Les Miz for everyone. ^^ But lots of good things come out of it for me. I mean, what other things include:
1. Inspector Javert.
2. Street urchins.
3. Revolutionaries.
4. Escaped convicts.
5. Whiny brats.
6. A zillion alias's.
7. Napoleon.
8. Candlesticks.
9. Someone who takes out your teeth and sells them to rich people.
10. The uber-cool Eponine.
11. A villian being the ultimate winner.
12. An old man called Monsieur Mabuef.
Come on, how many other books have this stuff in? ^^

2 : I was very sad when 'Ponine died. No-one loved her. That idiot student Marius Pontmercy. It's all his fault.
1 : My mum once called him Marcus by accident. Ha ha.

1 : Yes. Scary. But then it was cute when Javvy saw 'Ponine on the heap of bodies and recognised her.

I know dude, you actually can't have a Les Miz discussion due to knowledge - but that's fine! I can accept being the Mizzie Master around here. ^^
But do agree with me on one thing: Javert kicks butt! (If you don't, I'll call you 24601 for all eternity.)
